One night while my wife and I were praying, we felt God speak something specific to us: <em>&#8220;I am going to give you a property to care for those in ministry. It will have acreage, a view &#8211; and if it costs you a single penny, it&#8217;s the wrong place.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Honestly, we had just enough faith to write that down. But that was about it.<\/p>\n<p>What we didn&#8217;t expect was how that Word would refuse to let go of us. Over the years, our desire to care for ministers grew quietly and steadily, even as the promise seemed distant.<\/p>\n<p>Then in December 2024, we connected with a YWAM base in Discovery Bay, WA. They had a property they wanted to give away &#8211; 15 acres, a sweeping view of the mountains and the ocean &#8211; and they told us it wouldn&#8217;t cost us a penny.<\/p>\n<p>God did exactly what He said He would do, years before we could see how.<\/p>\n<p>Our family of five made the move to Discovery Bay in November 2025, and we&#8217;ve been hard at work ever since &#8211; building this ministry one step at a time, as the Lord leads.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wellofhopemin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/evan-laura-family.jpg\" alt=\"Evan, Laura and kids\" height=\"1550\" width=\"1200\" title=\"evan-laura-family\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our story begins in February 2018.
